Ruiz Boys on the Go!

Last weekend was a busy, and fun-filled one!
Here are some highlights from our day...

Home Depot Workshop
Home Depot sponsored a kids workshop.  The boys
made a firehouse bank.  Johnny and I held the nails while
the boys hammered - how's that for bravery?

Garrett's Baseball Game - Go Diamondbacks

Garrett is having a great time playing in the Rookie

league.  He had some great base hits and made an

awesome play at shortstop!  The Diamondbacks

clinched a victory - way to go!

Hamster Derby at Petco - Go Trixie, Go!

Every year the Petco holds a hamster derby.  This
year Jacob's dwarf hamster, Trixie, entered.  She had
lot's of fans to cheer her on.  She won her first race
and advanced to the second heat.  Unfortunately, she
decided she didn't feel like running and just sat there
looking cute.  There's always next year Trixie.

Jacob's Hockey Game - Go Capitals!

We finished our day with Jacob's first hockey game

in the Pee Wee division.  He made some great plays

and managed to stay out of the penalty box. Although

the Capitals didn't clinch the victory, they had a lot of

fun and showed a lot of potential.  We're looking

forward to a fun season!

Something's Fishy Around Here!

Dallon proudly displays the stripped bass he caught

at the lake this past Sunday. The fish seems a little

awe struck by the camera - what do you think?

Garrett and Dallon discovered that Sports Illustrated

magazine has a swimsuit edition! Why do I get the

impression they'll be lifelong subscribers?

This has been such a fun football season! Here are the boys with their Arizona Cardinal game faces on!

The Tooth Fairy Finally Visits Garrett!

After 6 1/2 long years, Garrett finally lost his first tooth (with a little help from his mom)! He was so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come that he could barely fall asleep. He called his Nana to share the news and wanted to call his friend Mr. John at 11pm! The Tooth Fairy was very generous - after all, it was the first tooth. If you look closely, you can see that his "big guy" tooth has already come in. Now we move on to the tooth right next to it. It's Wiggle Time!

Having a Ball at the Insight Bowl!

On December 31st, we had a great time at the Insight Bowl in Tempe, AZ. Nino Ronnie got us some great tickets and we had enough to invite some of our wonderful friends to come along! Before the game we enjoyed the beautiful Arizona weather by eating outdoors at the Chuckbox in Tempe. They had some great hamburgers and onion rings there!

Oh - did I mention it was our 15th wedding anniversary! My how time flies when you're having fun!
